Solar House-Harmony
Blues (LAR-087)
After
the highly successful full length album, Magic of the City
, Solar House strikes gold on large yet again with the
Harmony Blues EP . Calum Walker’s classic production
style soars with crisp beats and lush vocals from seductive songstress
Angie Reid. Heaven (Cloud 9) is a tight and
funky groove with a bassline that will rattle the bins. Decisions
is an afro –broken beat treat that demands two copies.
The EP finishes off with Harmony Blues : a pure
slice of class from one of the top talents in dance music today.

Dublin's Calum Walker
[sic - Calum is actually from Edinburgh!] has been causing waves
with his releases on various notable labels, Large clearly being
one of them. Three tracks go to make up this stylish E.P with the
A-sides 'Heaven (Cloud 9)' being the standout. Richly atmospheric
textures of Fender rhodes, funky synths and rolling basslines all
come together to produce the deserved results on this divine production.
