Large Music presents the first installment of Sound Deluxe mixed
by legendary San Francisco DJ RaSoul. He is known throughout the
world as one of the founders of the “West Coast House Sound”. Sound
Deluxe provides a glimpse into what makes RaSoul loved by so many
adoring fans. His choice of complex, driving rhythms blended with
moody and expansive chords meet head-on with his trademark basslines
and the results are simply sublime. RaSoul includes some of his
own tracks here as well as tunes from hot producers such as Dennis
Ferrer, Natural Rhythm, and Solar House to create a rich musical
journey into the deep underground of House Music.

Guy Nado (DJ RaSoul to the house community) has been championing
the west coast house sound from the get go. His late night basslines
and chord structures are a staple with house DJ's the world over.
His "Soul Searching" series for Large caught major attention and
has reached "classic" status with aficionados. There is no denying
this man's dancefloor prowess. And if you do, check this emotive

Since his 1998 Soul Searching' EP, RaSoul's collaborations with
Large Music have always been eagerly anticipated. Four years and
seven releases later, RaSoul and Large team up once again, but this
time on a DJ mix. Including four of his own tracks and songs from
the likes of Dennis Ferrer and Mateo & Matos, RaSoul provides a
dubbed-out expedition through contemporary deep house sounds, traveling
through smooth grooves, jackin' beats and upfront vocals. (3 and

What is it? It's that patented West Coast brand of deep-house action,
courtesy of Bay Area-by-way-of-Africa house hero RaSoul. Here he
highlights a gang of tracks from Chicago's Large label, including
some of his own.
Who's on it? Southern California move merchants Natural Rhythm are
in the mix, as are underground stars like Mateo & Matos. Dennis
Ferrer also has a few cuts in here. Any good? Large is one of the
dependable house labels that rarely fails to deliver solid singles.
So a showcase of such tunes is welcome on this boombox any time
it damn well pleases. Creatively mixed too!! (4 Stars)
